BhaoTaao ("we," "us," or "our") operates a marketplace app where you browse products listed by local sellers, order them at the listed price, and pick them up from the seller. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: Full name, email address, and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
- Cart and order information: Items in your cart and the orders you place — products, quantities, prices, total, seller, and date. Orders are pickup-only, so we do not collect a delivery address.
- Listings: If you sell, the product details you post (title, description, price, city, photos).
- Location data: Approximate device location may be used on your device to show nearby listings first. It is not shared with other users.
Payments: Orders are paid in cash to the seller at pickup. We do not collect or store card, bank, or mobile-wallet details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- Show products, keep your cart, place your orders, and show your order history.
- Show sellers' listings to signed-in users.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
3. Firebase
BhaoTaao uses Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Data processed by Firebase is subject to Google's Firebase Privacy Policy.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising. An order is linked to your account and to the seller of the items so it can be prepared for pickup. Sellers' listings are visible to signed-in users. We do not share your data with anyone else.
5. Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app or via our Account Deletion page, which lists what is removed.
6. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
BhaoTaao is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above.
